Green Eggs &...Oatmeal??!!!
Let me start this post by saying I love cooking and I love love cooking for my daughter! And who doesn't love the classic Dr. Seuss book "Green Eggs and Ham"? This week I made Bianca green eggs and she gobbled them up. It was simple I scrambled the eggs with a bit of cheese and some pureed avocado and steamed broccoli! They were actually pretty yummy and healthy to boot:)

My Autumn Haiku
seeing you tumble
the leaves all around the ground
you made me more me
I really love Haiku's, such beautiful simplicity to the Japanese poetry form. I have been writing some more recently to make into a book for Bianca and possibly incorporate into some wall art projects as well. I took this photo at a sleepy little park near our house.

Our new carrier, spin class and other randoms
Up until now I have been using a sling for babywearing (now toddlerwearing) and it has worked well recently but it isn't adjustable and positions are limited. I am so excited because today we got our new carrier- a Wrapsody stretch wrap- after trying quite a few it seemed to be the one with the most positions for an older baby/ toddler and would hold up to the highest weight (so we can use it for awhile). Thanks to the wonderful woman at Happy Bambino I now know how to use it and am sure I made the best choice for us at this time:) I will post more how we like it and how it works out for us in the future! On another note last night was my first ever spin class. After years of wanting to try one and talking about it I finally did and the rumors are true- it does kick you butt! I had a lot of fun but I am feeling it today-Ouch. The class is once a week so I am going to try and keep at it. I am also officially the proud mommy of a walker, I love to see her adorable little steps and how proud she is of herself when she walks across the room. Yesterday was Tuesday and in our house that means vegetarian diet and no eggs (this is a religious practice) and so I gave B her first ever veggie dog, actually it was half a veggie dog chopped into small pieces and dipped in organic ketchup- she went gaga for it an gobbled them up. Looks like I found a new favorite:)
Oh and It is nearly impossible to take a good self pic of B and I using the wrap (but I tried) , I will have to get D to take some pics later on:)

Guest Recipe of the Week - RESULTS!!!!
In a word YUM!!! I was able to make this recipe (see original post from yesterday for recipe link) almost 100% organic and they came out awesome. After my husband saw the recipe on the counter yesterday he requested oatmeal raisin instead (he is a nut and doesn't like chocolate much) So I decided to split the dough in half before adding the pistachios or white chocolate chips. Then I added half the requested amount of pistachios and chips to half and raisins and pecans to the other half. Both types turned out FAN-TAS-TIC! So thumbs up on this recipe.

Coldweather babywearing!

For any of you momma's facing the impending cold weather the thought of being out and about gives chills! This morning it was a frigid 34 F when I woke up here in Wi, Big sigh! Well here is an awesome babywearing accessory I found online that I am absolutely getting!
It is the Peekaru baby carrier fleece . I feel cozy just looking at it and it zips right up over any carrier- perfect for toddlerwearing. And here is the added bonus-it’s also eco-friendly! Made out of approximately 85% recycled plastic bottles. The manufacturing of each Peekaru saves approximately 25 bottles from going into landfills. I will post a review once I get my hand on one! If anyone has this product or tries it out please post comments!
